Today I submitted my recent module SDP which was focused around the design of a coworking space in the Mark Addy building in Manchester.
This project has been a fun one for me. With it being just six weeks long it centered more around creativity than our last module Architectural Technology, which was as the name suggests was more focused on technical drawings and feasibility reports.
For my design I wanted to create a space that met the needs of people working within the creative industries and media. For the look I wanted to keep it fairly industrial to be sympathetic to the buildings history, while also making it homely to meet the needs of the WFH generation which we now have due to COVID.
Overall I am very happy with my work, some key images and drawings from the project are available to view under the conceptual section on the portfolio tab of this website.
